We are an online bookstore and tea shoppe that specializes in custom book covers and custom tea blends to pair with your next five star read. While we ship all over the US, we also participate at pop-up events in Montgomery County, MD where we sell our specialty teas, baked goods, and books.

The Juniper Reader was founded by a lifelong fantasy and romance reader who found herself living in a small town without a bookstore. She had a love for slow, comforting rituals: a warm cup of tea, a well-written novel, and the quiet magic of getting lost in a story. Her connection to books started early, with her very first job in high school repairing damaged books—carefully restoring spines and covers. Her hatred of tea shifted to a life long enjoyment for the drink thanks to her high school Mandarin teacher, something she loves to share with friends and guests. Instead of choosing between opening a bookstore or a tea shop, she built a space that brings both worlds together—pairing thoughtfully curated reads with custom tea blends designed to enhance the mood of every chapter.
